Based on an assessment of the current state of students’ learning in the Physical Education 1 (Swimming) module at Thai Nguyen University of Education, we propose several measures to enhance the learning quality through various research methods: literature analysis and synthesis, interviews, pedagogical tests, pedagogical experiments, and statistical mathematics. To improve the quality of this module, we suggest five optimal solutions to foster student engagement and achievement in swimming. Assessing the current situation provides a solid foundation for developing targeted improvements, contributing to the enhancement of physical education quality for students.
